Downtown can either be an asset or a liability in efforts to recruit new residents, new businesses, industry and tourism to the community. The Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation (LACDC), through its MainStreet Program, works to to improve the vitality of downtown Los Alamos utilizing a four point approach: organization, economic positioning, design, and promotion.
